Two dice, different ranges
The D6 produces a number from 1 to 6. The D12 produces a number from 1 to 12. For example, a 4 and a 9 make a total of 13.
Read the results your game needs
Some instructions use the individual results; others use the sum. This roller shows both and leaves the rule interpretation to you.
Only need the six-sided die? Roll a D6 on its own, one roll or three in a row.
What total can I get?
The minimum is 2 and the maximum is 18. With fair, independent dice, the expected total is 3.5 + 6.5 = 10.
There are 6 × 12 = 72 equally likely pairs. Totals from 7 to 13 are the most common, each with 6 of the 72 pairs.
